CAWL is executing plans to upgrade our Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic to make it bigger and better than ever! Through our mobile clinics, CAWL has spayed/neutered over 1900 animals since mid-2010 and we intend to this better than ever as we roll out our new program!

Volunteers from CAWL spent their Sunday spaying and neutering at the Palmer Lake Mobile Home Park. Over sixty cats were sterilized and thirteen were placed in foster homes to be prepared for adoption.

We get asked this question a lot. Last year, the State of Colorado enacted House Bill 1185, under which animal shelters and rescue groups must spay or neuter cats and dogs before turning them over to new owners. The bill also allows for new owners to promise to do so within 90 days if the animal has not yet been sterilized. [Read more…]
